Biloxi’s Back Bay is Full of Otter Family Fun

I was enjoying a peaceful Saturday afternoon, sitting on my back porch overlooking the Biloxi Bay.   A boat full of happy people would go by every now and then.  All of the sudden, a family of otters come out from the shoreline, spinning through the water over to my neighbor’s dock.  They wrapped their paws around the pilings on the pier and began to munch on the barnacles that have accumulated.  I watched them glide across the water so effortlessly.  Quickly, I grabbed my phone to take a picture.  If you look close at the photo, you will see the top of one of the otter’s head with its cute ears.  It’s rare to see otters in our area yet very satisfying to see them doing well in the Biloxi Bay.
